If you're like me, summer vacation equals camping. My favorite - Algonquin Park - is the diamond in Ontario's crown. With over 4000 square miles of forests, lakes and rivers, the park bursts at the seems with an embarrassing richness of natural beauty and wildlife.
But don't stop there. Ontario Parks manages a colorful network of over 300 parks blanketing the four corners of the province including Bronte Creek Provincial Park, Lake Superior and Wakami Lake.
Each park crams more outdoor activity into its parameter than the average weekend camper can manage. Even with repeat visits, it's hard to uncover all the hidden gems.
Whether you camp, climb, hike, bike or whitewater raft, you'll find every outdoor pursuit alive in Ontario's parks.
Watch as well-informed rangers discuss the best place to canoe in Ottawa, snowshoe in James Bay or hike the south near Winsor. Then get out there and explore a park of your own.
