Another reason why the GPS device might be
a better bet in the woods than your crackberry.
According the New York TV news channel, CNN Money and everyone else
screaming in frustration last night, the BlackBerry network in the entire
Western hemisphere has screeched to a halt.
BlackBerry Customer Support offered these
condolences to users trying to connect: "We apologize for the inconvenience and
will provide updates as soon as they become available."
The problem started at 8pm ET Tuesday and
Research in Motion is still frantically trying to reset the network. According
to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, this little interruption could
affect up to 8 million subscribers.
RIM stock is trading sharply lower this
morning - big surprise.
Want service you can count on? Maybe it's
time to rethink investing in a GPS device for all your adventures - office,
vacations and the great outdoors.
