The 12-campus tour to raise global warming
awareness began at Southern Methodist University in Dallas
and finished last night - Earth Day - at George Washington
University. Sheryl Crow (singer) and
Laurie David (producer of an 'Inconvenient Truth') shared the spotlight of their last show with Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and
Carole King. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. environmental advocate, also put in an
appearance, "Hurricane Katrina is just a taste of what's to come if we don't
stop global warming."
Crow said in an Associated Press release that getting this
message is an important mission. "I just feel like if this isn't addressed by
this administration, if this administration isn't hearing this message loud and
clear, then I feel there's an irresponsibility."
Unfortunately, not only is the Bush
administration not getting the point, they've warped it into alarmist propaganda
fostered by extremists following their
own agenda. Guess they haven't noticed how hot it's getting in here?
All the performers joined in the last piece
of the evening, which Crow dedicated to Carl Rove, Bush's top advisor. The
song? The Beatles, ‘We Can Work it Out.'
We agree, Sheryl, we can work it out!
